Newborn sessions usually take place within the first 2 weeks of babies arrival and are ideally booked when you are still pregnant - usually after 16weeks+ or before if you want to be super prepared.

When you are booking for your newborn session, I tailor each session to meet each families needs, this is when I take details of exactly what you're looking for which helps ensure I have everything available before the arrival of your baby. You would then secure your session with a deposit and the remainder due on the day of your session. I have 3 packages available to suit needs of all budgets and additional added extras if you then decide to purchase wall art/prints to show off your beautiful baby in your family home- Prices can be found below.

My studio is based in Ayrshire in my garden studio which does entail 1 set of stairs to get down to. Before the session begins , there will be refreshments and a variety of snacks available - please feel free to bring your own. I then set out the plan of what is going to happen during your newborn session - this is when I will show you what will happen during your sessions and answer any questions before we begin.

Newborn sessions can last anywhere up to 4hours - this depends on how each baby is on the day of the session, within this time we will stop for breaks, changing, feeding etc - this is completely baby-led, which basically means, I can plan a whole session but at the end of the day, the baby is still going to be the boss! - I will always put babies safety and happiness first, on some occasions babies might not like certain poses and this is when after a few attempts we would then carry on to something else.

After you've had your session I then aim to get your images to you within 3-4 weeks after, this may change during school holidays etc.

My most favourite product for newborn sessions is the photo album. A lot more families get these as there's something more special having them in a album with your whole gallery rather than having to decide on 1 or 2 images for prints.
